For me every day is a demonstration of the way we should work – ‘excite and win’. Our clients and their customers should be excited about their marketing activity – then everyone wins.. We work to that rule and it helps build the energy that’s so necessary to create exciting and effective advertising campaigns. Marketing shouldn’t be a chore – far from it.

If you asked me what the secret of successful advertising was, I’d have to say the old 5 C’s formula. Not new or unique to me but so true: Creative, Clout, Consistency, Clarity and Content! Simple really. Add this to a positive ‘We can’ attitude and it’s very difficult to fail!

It feels really good here – we have a great and growing team and our excitement about our work is genuine – in spite of our many years in the business we still get a real buzz from getting it right!

My responsibilities are looking after clients across all media platforms, making sure they get the best advice and recommendations for their campaign.

I always wanted to work in advertising and I started out working for a local newspaper, a very different world to the one I’m in now. I then got into broadcast advertising with EMAP and instantly loved radio. After 10 great years, I then felt the need to explore all media formats. Local and national press, commercial radio, national magazines, TV and all types of outdoor media are my main areas of expertise. Here, I apply my golden rules for advertising – right audience, right time with the right message.

Having been with the team since May 2009 I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the very exciting growth that the business has seen and is still continuing to enjoy.

With high profile clients and projects both coming up and ongoing I am enjoying using my Sales and Marketing experience along with my time spent in Purchasing to add to the professional, creative and very successful results we at ON Advertising produce. I believe every business should be concerned with its future growth – effective marketing plays a significant part in this. My role ensures that we use our knowledge, contacts, tools and resources in a combination that provides the best environment for the growth of our client’s businesses. I am a firm believer in ‘You get out what you put in’. So maximum effort from us will gain maximum impact and results for our clients.

I have recently joined ON Advertising at the start of 2010 and am very excited to be taking on the "Outdoor Specialist" role. My experience in advertising began a few years ago at Titan Outdoor supporting the sales team in the Leeds office.

While at Titan I developed great relationships with all the Northern media agencies especially with the guys at ON Advertising which was why I was so keen to join the team when the opportunity arose. Outdoor is a particular interest of mine and ties in well with my social activities which include lots of outdoor pursuits and, I guess, following my football team!!

It's great specialising in Outdoor advertising planning and buying across this massive category with so many formats and opportunities - as well as learning about other media from the team along the way.

I always knew I wanted to work in the arts and media, but I was never sure on how. After trying an acting course, doing camera work on my media degree and working at Galaxy Yorkshire as Sales Support for four years, I believe I have found my calling.

I have brought my existing knowledge of the radio industry and I’m developing new skills in the TV and outdoor sectors to get a good all around knowledge of the products that we can offer to clients for them to have successful campaigns. Being an organised person I live by the ‘To do lists’ and various coloured pens for different things. I love being part of a team and get satisfaction when a job is done well and the team have success. I make a good cup of tea, just not enough of them I’ve been told!

I’ve been with ON Advertising for a while, in it’s previous incarnation as The Radio Advertising Business and latterly, ON TV and Radio. I’ve spent years in marketing, having started out in media buying, print buying and direct mail design.

I’m a stickler for detail. That’s what I enjoy – getting really immersed in a job and getting to know it inside out. I live by the motto ‘the devil’s in the detail’ – it might be a bit predictable to my colleagues now but they all know how true it is!
